This is the 5th episode of season 3 of "Together for Life", originally aired on October 7, 1989.
In this episode, Siamese twins Carol and Katie Banning celebrate their 21st birthday in Las Vegas.

EPISODE TRIVIA:
1. This is the first episode where Carol and Katie discuss the possibility of separation, albeit as a joke.
2. Clifford Bunker, who serves the twins their first legal drink, is a direct descendant of Chang Bunker, who, with his twin brother Eng, were the conjoined twins for whom the term "Siamese twins" was coined.
3. A scene was scripted for this episode which would have shown the band of flesh that joined the sisters, but was cut when the prosthetic device created was deemed to not look realistic enough.
4. The woman at the bar the twins buy a drink for because it was her 50th birthday was played by Jessica and Jennifer Stanton's mother. The scene was added at the last minute when the episode's director realized that, according to production order, this was the series' 50th episode.
5. Although the episode was filmed on location in Las Vegas, no gambling is shown, due to concerns over laws prohibiting filming gaming activity in the state of Nevada.
6. A line in which Katie jokes that if they run out of money they can resort to "the world's oldest profession" was cut when producers learned that while Nevada is the only state in the United States where prostitution is legal, it's illegal in Las Vegas.
7. The episode was filmed a week after Jessica and Jennifer Stanton's 21st birthday.
8. In the middle of filming this episode, production was halted for one day, due to unforeseen circumstances. During the break in filming, Jessica and Jennifer Stanton did the only gambling they would do during the production of this episode, and won a little over $50,000 between the two of them. When production resumed, the twins' real-life windfall was written into the episode.
9. One of the "HBO scenes"(scenes added to each episode in order to pad the running time, due to the fact HBO aired the episodes commercial free), the scene where the twins lose their virginity, became the first HBO scene to become canon, when it was referenced in the episode's closing tag.
