Jennah Kaarh is a Roing Jedi master from the planet Roingoth. The Roing are a subspecies of humans, known for their longevity, due to the fact that they age at an extremely slow rate. While Kaarh(unlike other races, the Roing use the naming convention of putting their family name first, so using standard naming convention, her name would be "Kaarh Jennah") appears to be around 30 standard years of age, her actual age is well over 2500 years. She began her Jedi training over 2500 years ago, serving as the Padawan learner to Master Vodar(a member of the same race as later master Yoda), and was elevated to Jedi at a relatively young age, having defeated several opponents single-handedly in combat at the age of 19 standard years. The fact she was able to not only hold her own against a vastly superior force, each a battle-hardened warrior with extensive combat experience, but to single-handedly wipe the entire force out, proved she was skilled enough in the Jedi arts to earn the rank of Jedi Knight. After her trials, she took on as her Padawan learner the Wookiee Irabacca, assuming the rank of Master once Irabacca had passed his Jedi trials. She earned a reputation as a cunning strategist, and a fierce warrior. Her reputation was such that just the mention of her name was enough to neutralize any threat. However, when Palpatine was elected to the Galactic Senate as the Senator from Naboo, she felt a disturbance in the Force, one she could not interpret. By the time he arrived on Coruscant to assume his duties, she had left the Jedi Temple in order to return to her ancestral home to meditate. She is not considered a member of the Lost Twenty, as she never officially left the Jedi Order, but had simply been ordered to return to Roingoth to meditate and await further orders. While meditating, she had a vision, which told her to remain on Roingoth, to remain hidden, the vision told her that the newly elected Senator from Naboo was a bad omen, and the survival of the Jedi hinged on her remaining hidden. During her exile, she had bore a daughter, Jennah Saahl, who is currently being trained in the Jedi arts. The two of them managed to remain hidden until 30ABY, when they were discovered, and rejoined Luke Skywalker's new Jedi Order.

There are a few notable things about the Roing that are unlike any other races in the Galaxy. First, they age much slower than other human or humanoid races. Second, the Roing is, for reasons unknown even to them, an exclusively female race. Third, each member of their race is able to reproduce without the aid of a partner. The Roing also do not wear shoes, they feel that covering the feet severs one's connection with the ground, which diminishes one's life force.
